DescriptionTHE CHOICE SCHOLARSHIP FUND is a Texas incorporated 501c3 virtual public charity nonprofit organization which operates 24/7. We offer Academic Scholarship Subsidies, via 4 multiplicative programs, to Nonpublic School students in grade levels k-12 who reside within regional area conducive to Education Reform. The program is designed to “offer a comprehensive structure for Professional Development and experience for individuals interested in advocating our Strategic Vision and Purpose”. Participants commit to a 3-month period of self-paced learning and exploration which allows the opportunity for: Developing and/or sharpening innovation skills; acquiring fundamental training in a virtual environment; work experience derived from application in various departments and organizational alignment; developing collaboration, inclusivity and exchange methods; assessment of interest and abilities; making valuable connections; strengthening resumes; mentoring. Formal training and professional development offered are designed to accommodate beginning and intermediate skill sets viable in the open job market:
• Time management for remote training and tasks
• Budgeting and basic bookkeeping
• Strategic implementation
• Strategic development
• Innovation principles
• Public relations
• Event planning
Skills gained upon successful completion of the program include: Adaptability: change one’s own behavior or work methods to adjust to other people or to changing situations or work demands; be receptive to new information, ideas or strategies to achieve goals; Analyzing & Solve Problems: anticipate or identify problems and their causes; develop and analyze potential solutions or improvements using rational/logical processes or innovative and creative approaches when needed; Building Consensus: build consensus among individuals or groups by- facilitating agreements that involve sharing or exchanging resources or resolving differences in such a way as to promote mutual goals and interest; persuading others to change their point of view or behavior without losing future support; resolving conflicts, confrontations and disagreements while maintaining productive working relationships; Gathering & Analyzing Information: obtain facts information or data relevant to a particular problem, question or issue through observation of events or situations; discussion with others, research, or retrieval from written or electronic sources, organize, interpret, analyze and evaluate information; Leadership: motivate, inspire and influence others towards effective individual or teamwork performance goal attainment and personal learning and development by serving as a mentor, coach and role model by providing feedback; Listening: attend to receive and correctly interpret verbal communications and directions through cues such as the content and context of the message and the tone and “body language” of the speaker.
ResponsibilitiesInterns will be expected to complete daily tasks posted within the organization's virtual office; engage actively in virtual communication, collaboration and innovation; engage in social media outlets; attend regular virtual meetings and participate in conference calls. The internship is self-paced and tasks/projects may be completed and submitted at any time during the day or night prior to the deadline. There are no specific work hours or days. Because we operate 24/7, you will set your schedule and report the days and times work is performed to learn accountability (this information will be reported to the Program Director). Organizational and Program Policy agreements are required prior to beginning.
