DescriptionThe Cape Fear Volunteer Center's Big Buddy program is currently looking for a dependable case manager to help manage the Big Buddy/ Little Buddy Case load.
Responsibilities will include:
-Preparing and conducting volunteer orientations for recruited Big Buddies
-Arranging, attending, and completing match meetings between Big Buddy, Little Buddy, and Little Buddy families
-Managing a case load of unmatched and matched Little Buddies
-Answering e-mails and phone calls in a timely manner
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Individual should be able to stand for several hours, walk, or run with children, lift 20 pounds, be able to be outside for events.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will be discussed upon receipt of application and resume!
Requirements-Some college is required, preferred (but not required) degree track of social work, sociology, psychology, child development, etc.
-Case management/ internship experience is a plus
-Experience working with children is a plus, especially the at-risk youth population
-Proficient in using computers, answering phone calls, replying and sending e-mails
