DescriptionOver 50 years ago the vision was cast that would become Golden Valley Camp. That vision was to provide a place for young people to go, get away, and connect with God in new and deeper ways. That vision is still at the heart Golden Valley Camp today.
Golden Valley Camp is designed to support your programs or to provide programming that will meet the needs of your group. We can accommodate up to a hundred campers. Our eleven cabins are appropriately clustered and separated to meet your needs for lodging and supervision of mixed gender groups. We have miles of hiking trails, fun recreational options, and many opportunities to for you to get alone with God on our beautiful wooded property.
WHAT WE DO:
Golden Valley Camp provides the space and freedom for groups to come and do ministry in a way that best fits the needs of their group. This is done through our facility rental program. We provide the space, meals, and maintenance. The rest is up to each group.
A second part of Golden Valley Camp is our programmed camp option called Golden Valley Missions. Golden Valley Missions is a unique opportunity to combine the spiritually rewarding summer camp experience with the opportunity to go into our community to serve others. With this program we provide all programming, counselors, worship, speakers, and activities. The Intern will assist in all areas of camp. The main purpose of this position is for the individual to learn and gain experience in Camping Ministry and to assist in the needs around camp. This position includes a lot of physical work and the individual must be a joyful worker. The Year-Long Internship is a volunteer position that includes housing, meals, and a stipend of $400 a month.
ResponsibilitiesAs part of the GVC intern program you will be wearing many hats. You will serve in roles that include; food service, cleaning toilets, maintenance, counselor and recreation operator.
