Description

The Anti-Defamation League, founded in 1913, is one of the nation's premier human relations and civil rights agencies and is dedicated to combating anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry, defending democratic ideals, and protecting civil rights for all. Interns will get experience by doing the following:
* Help conduct research for the ADL using open sources
* Write weekly summaries of current events and incidents related to both domestic and international terrorism for monthly law enforcement bulletins
* Assist in writing reports
* Observe ADL law enforcement trainings or meetings
* Assist with fact finding projects
* Provide administrative support

Responsibilities

Internship goals:
* Learn more about the ADL and the Civil Rights Division
* Learn how to utilize various research databases
* Learn about how non-profit organizations work
* Participate in Law Enforcement meetings and trainings
* Improve writing abilities

Requirements

* Minimum commitment of no less than 2 months, 8-10 hours/week
* Strong writing ability
* Experience and skill in online research
* A professional, can-do attitude
* A willingness to learn new things
* The ability to work in a independently yet within the guidelines of a supervisor
* The ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment
* The ability to multi-task
