DescriptionLa Cultura Rica is dedicated to get important information out to DACA and Latino students that are interested in going to college. Our mission is to reach out to and guide as many willing Latinos to the path of obtaining a college education. Although it is starting out small at first, we hope to grow quickly and efficiently so that everyone can have a helping and supporting hand. As a College Article Blogger, you will find articles online (there is a weekly quota) to share to the Facebook page that pertain to DACA/Latino students such as resources, personal success stories, and helpful tips. You can even share personal testimonies of your own experiences or someone you may know. You will be added as an Admin to the Facebook page to post your findings. Although this is unpaid, you will receive a reward of some kind and a recommendation at the end of your time serving La Cultura Rica.
ResponsibilitiesYou will find one article/story daily, give a short caption to post it on the page or queue it, from time to time respond to comments, and promote La Cultura Rica when possible to the public, teachers, and students who would benefit from the information shared.
RequirementsYou must have a Facebook page to participate. You also must have experience with finding great results on search engines and have a basic understanding/skill set of creative writing. A complex and educated understanding of what DACA students are and the barriers they face is also required. This internship is open to students enrolled full or part time in any college or university in the United States.
