Description

The Colorado Teen Project engages youth 16-24 years of age, to live independently and give them the resources and tools to age out of the foster care system. We provide positive, stable mentoring relationships to empower youth to become self-reliant and stable.

The Colorado Teen Project seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist development marketing and communications efforts. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of marketing while working for an organization mentoring youth aging out of foster care.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
 Assist in developing and writing our monthly eNewsletter.
 Draft, distribute and pitch news releases, media alerts and other stories with INK! PR group
 Designing flyers and other marketing material for major events
 Update the CTP website and database when needed
 Help with development of content for social media and website
 Assist in organizing and implementation of awareness and giving campaigns.
 Collaborating with staff on new ideas, directions, and venues for marketing and communications.

Requirements

Qualifications:
 Related experience in marketing or communications is a plus
 Must be computer literate (working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
 Knowledge of database or web design a plus – Wordpress, GoDaddy, etc. and social media (Instagram, Twitter, Google +)
 An effective communicator, both written and oral
 Ability to communicate in a professional manner with press and community contacts
 Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to
prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
 Interest in nonprofit development
