Description

The Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore serves more than 15,000 girl and adult members in Monmouth County and Ocean County, New Jersey. Communications interns will work with our communications team and focus on council marketing and public relations. The team's responsibilities include writing, layout and design, web design and managing the overall messaging of the council in coordination with the national office. There is a lot of room to be creative and interns are given individual projects to manage with finished materials they can use while searching for full-time employment.

Responsibilities

Interns will work directly with the council's chief communications officer and its communications manager. Responsibilities vary based on the time of year, but we're always busy. There are multiple departments to support and interns will be involved with meetings and will also be responsible for several independent projects as well.

Requirements

Interns should have the ability to write professionally and conversationally. Basic skills in Adobe Creative Cloud programs is preferred, but not required.
