DescriptionThe Association of the United States Navy (AUSN), the premier voice and advocate for our nation’s current and former Sailors, is looking for a part time unpaid intern for their Headquarters in Old Town Alexandria, VA.
ResponsibilitiesDuties to include, but not limited to:
-researching corporate prospects
-creating prospect lists
-updating corporate contact database
-building Salesforce profiles
-assisting with production of AUSN’s Navy magazine
-assisting in planning signature events, including upcoming 2-day conference this fall
-administrative tasks such as answering phones, taking messages, confirming event RSVPs and filing.
An interest in magazine publishing, advertising, event planning, event logistics, and marketing preferred. Experience with Salesforce, WordPress and Adobe a plus, but not required. Experience with Microsoft office, specifically Excel is preferred.
College credit is also available to students, depending upon their Colleges or University’s requirements. AUSN staff will be able to assist the student with validating the appropriate paperwork, but it is up to the student to speak with their college advisor in making the determination whether the credits will be accepted.
AUSN Interns are expected to commit at least 15 hours per week. Limited opportunities are available, so only candidates with appropriate experience will be contacted. Interns must be able to commit to at least one work day each week, preferably two days for at least 4 hours at a time.
