Description

EKO is a tutoring, workshop and mentoring service provided for youth grades Kindergarten to 12th, to assist with improving their academics, mental and emotional wellbeing.

The mission of the Enlightenment, Knowledge and Outreach (EKO) Enrichment Program is to enlighten students with knowledge intended to increase self-confidence and esteem through community outreach, service and education.

The EKO Enrichment Program seeks to provide a holistic approach to teaching youth problem solving skills, while increasing their creativity and knowledge through interactive workshop activities, individualized tutoring sessions and mentoring services.

Responsibilities

Community Outreach Specialists (COS) are responsible for making connections within the community to inform the public about our program.

Our COS will attend events where he or she presents and provides information regarding the EKO program and its benefits.

Requirements

Applicant must be a student or alumni of an accredited college or university (preference is given to students majoring in social work, education, sociology, psychology, criminology, counseling or other related field).
Must be willing to travel.
For positions where applicants will be directly involved with children, applicants must be willing to submit information for a criminal background check.
For tutor position, applicant must be proficient in the subject area of their choice.
