Title: Community Outreach Specialist
Reports to: Founder and H.R. & Event Coordinator
Compensation: $10.00- $16.00/hour + bonuses based on personal performance
Job Type: Part-time and opportunity for Full-time employment
Job Location: Tustin, CA
*Starting wage is $10.00/hour plus bonuses on a daily performance that can raise hourly wage. The basic pay structure will be reviewed after 3 months and can be altered to better compensate the team member.
No experience required - Will train the right person!

*Training will be provided Successful candidates for the Community Outreach Specialist position will be highly motivated, excellent at communicating and presenting our cause, adept at building and maintaining customer relationships, enjoy learning about the unique needs of each donor who inspires our work each day to service them with excellence, and be driven by the important mission of Hands for Africa.
Effectively communicate our mission and programs to the public
Work outdoors to recruit donors while issuing gifts in return
Recruit members for volunteer, internship and employment positions
Generate fundraising income as to continue the work of Hands for Africa
Set up and take down booth at fundraising locations
Handle company merchandise respectfully and ethically
Coordinate the transition of materials from one group to another as necessary
Availability for several all-day 8-hr shifts during the week (and occasional Saturdays - not required but preferred)
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
Possess strong interpersonal skills
Excel in a team environment
Standing for long periods of time (6-8 hour shifts with one lunch break)
Ability to carry up to 25 lbs
MUST have reliable transportation to travel to Los Angeles County, San Bernardino County, the Inland Empire and throughout Orange County (We do provide mileage reimbursement and carpool arrangement)
