DescriptionThe Tukwila Pantry is a non-profit food bank and has been established to serve the residents of the city of Tukwila, SeaTac and Boulevard Park in a humane and dignified way with their emergency food and other referral needs. The Tukwila Pantry is committed to provide food for those in need and educate the community on issues surrounding hunger. The Tukwila Pantry provides food distribution 3 days per week and a hot dinner once per week. On average, 400 families per week receive food assistance.
• Provide a welcoming atmosphere as the first point of contact for clients
• Gather new and existing client information and enter data into client card
• Explain distribution requirements to first time applicants
• Distribute household and emergency items at request
• Work with multiple language speakers
Days and hours:
Tuesday 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Thursday 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Saturday 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Minimum time commitment required of volunteers: 10 weeks
