DescriptionHelpHOPELive, based in Radnor, PA seeks an intern to provide support for our Development department. This position is ideal for those looking to learn the ins and outs of an integrated annual giving program in support of a national health and human services nonprofit.
The position would report to the Director of Development, working closely with the Development and Communications departments. This is a paid position. College credit is available where applicable. Semester-long and year-long internships available. Start date is flexible but ideally position would begin in the final weeks of August 2016. At the conclusion of the internship, you will have basic understanding of the daily operational requirements needed to run a national Development office, and the training needed to be a competitive candidate for future fundraising positions. You will also gain experience with the following software suites: Virtuous CRM, Raiser’s Edge, Foundation Center Online, Mailchimp, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative, Research Point.
Responsibilities-Assisting the Director of Development and Development Coordinator in research, proposal writing, budget and supplemental materials preparation for grants, utilizing tools such as Foundation Center Database and Virtuous CRM to ensure prompt submissions of proposals, reports, and acknowledgements to institutional donors.
-Working with the Development and Communications departments to provide auxiliary support for special events, including managing social media, assisting in volunteer recruitment and coordination, generating communications for guests and sponsors, soliciting and securing in-kind donations, and assisting in person at events.
-Assisting in mailing campaigns, using Virtuous CRM to generate and maintain accurate mailing lists.
-Assisting the Director of Development and Development Coordinator in researching potential individual donors.
-Working with the Development, Communications, and Patient Services departments to generate materials for donors, including newsletters, e-blasts, videos, and more.
-Assisting the Development Coordinator with ensuring prompt acknowledgement for all gifts directed to HelpHOPELive.
