DescriptionJoin our Metro DC team – fall and spring Internships:
Thank you for considering an internship with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Metro DC chapter. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is a nonprofit, donor-supported organization; the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the world’s leader in the search for a cure for CF. The Foundation funds lifesaving research and works to provide access to quality, specialized care and effective treatments for people with CF.
Nearly every CF drug available today was made possible because of Foundation support. Through its efforts, the life expectancy of a child with CF has doubled in the last 30 years, and research to find a cure is more promising than ever before.
College students interested in a career in the non-profit sector and/or special event planning will find a wealth of experience by working with the Metro DC chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Internships are available for the fall, spring or summer semesters. Interns learn and participate in fundraising, development, special event planning, communications, non-profit management skills and volunteer recruitment and management.
If you or anyone you know is interested in our internship opportunities, please visit our chapter website, http://www.cff.org/Chapters/metrodc/VolunteerOpportunities/, for more information or contact Mary Martinez at firstname.lastname@example.org or 301-657-8444.
