Description

The U.S.-Japan Council is seeking an intern (unpaid) for the Development team. The Development team’s job is to increase membership, sponsorship, and donations for the organization.

This is an excellent internship for those hoping to gain resume key word visibility in the digital and strategic marketing and/or non-profit development fields, with an international focus. Starting with Salesforce, which is a widely used program in both business and non-profit sales and marketing, there will be plenty of opportunities to earn hands-on experience in generating strategic reports used in digital marketing and development.

Responsibilities

Support the Development Director and Coordinator through various projects including, but not limited to:

Cleaning and maintaining data, and generating reports utilizing databases in Excel and Salesforce
Organizational support needed in preparation for USJC's upcoming Annual Conference in Silicon Valley, November 14-15, 2016
Research on $1+ billion companies with global reach including U.S.-Japan alliances

Requirements

A patient, diplomatic demeanor
Flexibility and the ability to multi-task
A love of data analytics and reporting
Technologically savvy, proficient in Microsoft Office (especially with financial information in Excel)
Able to quickly learn new programs
Experience working in an office setting, Capitol Hill, or the Government
Native or near-native English ability, and some Japanese language or experience with Japan preferred
