DescriptionGame Change Hers is a non profit organization dedicated to the mission of educating and empowering females while encouraging them to explore and pursue careers in sports. Interns will work with the Game Change Hers' Young Professional's Board, to help further the mission of the organization and will be responsible for raising funds for the organization through the sale of event tickets, promotional products and raffles. Interns will also work to secure donors, complete grant research and to develop new fundraising methods for the organization.
Most work will be done remotely but will require attendance at weekly meetings and events. Internship will require work on weekends and evenings and requires a flexible schedule. Intern will play an active role in the growth of the organization's online community and the development and funding of the organization.
***Candidates must be local and able to travel independently in the Philadelphia, PA area for events and office meetings.***
****Preference given to interns able to receive college credits. Internship is unpaid.*****
ResponsibilitiesIntern will help promote upcoming events online and be responsible for crowd sourcing and marketing campaigns on social media sites connected to the organization's web pages. Interns will assist on event days and will help recruit participants for the organization. Intern will also assist in event preparation and planning for fundraising events. Intern will also be responsible for grant research and some grant writing and will play a key role in the organization's fund development.
RequirementsMust have excellent writing skills. Must also have access to a computer with an internet connection and a smart phone. Seeking a technology savvy and highly motivated individual that doesn't mind working in a team environment. Marketing skills, sales experience or knowledge preferred, with a strong interest in event planning. Seeking interns with completed course work in development, non profit management, marketing, business and sport management.
