Levantine Cultural Center champions a greater understanding of the Middle East and North Africa by presenting artistic and educational programs that bridge political and religious divides. In a search for common ground, the Center fosters discussions among artists and thinkers and offers classes and workshops that serve diverse ethnic communities.

Levantine Cultural Center is a unique place with a friendly, relaxed work environment. Our focus is building bridges and we achieve this by creating public arts programs that provide a safe space for cultures in conflict to come together.

About the Internship

Do you have fundraising skills from having worked with other nonprofit or cultural arts organizations? Are you concerned about the need to support intercultural dialogue and exchange? We are in great need of a talented fundraising Intern. Opportunity for growth after internship with proven track record. Our primary focus is in capacity building, with only about 30% of grant applications submitted for programs.You will learn budgeting, grant writing, and help grow the organization.

Responsibilities

Interns typically work 15-20 hours per week for a pre-determined period concluding with an evaluation and recommendation.

Requirements

Some guerrilla community organizing experience are desirable. Experience or interest in grant and proposal writing, a desire to be part of an organization with an impressive track record and positive impact. Must have excellent written and communication skills, interest in non-profit fundraising and development required.We are willing to train the right person!Flexible hours, 15-20 per week. Must have reliable transportation and laptop computer.
