Description

We text with about 2.4 million 13- to 25-year-olds every week. Wowzah! They ask us questions on how to complete our cause campaigns, and we need volunteers like you to answer them. Can you dedicate about 10 hours/month (remotely or in our NYC office) to text with our members?

If you're still interested after reading all of the deets on our SMS Volunteer Program below, email Tara at volunteer@dosomething.org!!!

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:
Text with our members (on a computer -- we'll show you how) and answer their questions so they can rock our campaigns. Commit to at least 10 hours/month (the schedule is flexible).

What You'll Get:
Training on how to be the best volunteer ever; The opportunity to help young people make a serious impact on causes that matter; A laptop you can use in the office; A Letter of recommendation after 20 hours of volunteering; A dope T-Shirt (if you're really rocking things); Invitations to exclusive DoSomething.org events; and of course delicious goodies in the DoSomething.org kitchen (nom!)

Requirements

Who Is Eligible to Volunteer:
Volunteers must be 18 or older, have a valid US Social Security number, and passionate about social change and the power of young people. You'll need a digital copy of a state-issued ID (passport or US driver's license); a valid US Social security number; computer and Internet connection (if volunteering remotely); and training on our campaigns (we'll hook you up!).
