The Arab Film Festival (AFF) is the largest independent annual showcase of Arab films and filmmakers in the country. The festival has an international standing and is considered one of the most important Arab film festivals outside the Arab world. AFF strives to present the best contemporary films that provide insight into the beauty, complexity and diversity intrinsic to the Arab world alongside realistic perspectives on Arab people, culture, art, history and politics. It offers the American public access to a multifaceted sphere of creativity seen through Arab eyes.

The Executive Intern assists AFF’s Executive Director with weekly tasks. Duties include performing administrative tasks, providing support for Board of Directors meetings, management of cultivation and invitation lists, some PR work and general planning for events. Opportunity provided to gain event planning experience and learn the logistics of producing an annual film festival.

Excellent organization and communication skills are a must. This internship offers a monthly stipend after three months.


10-15 hours/week (during the summer) 10 hours (during the fall/winter/spring), college credit available, monthly stipend available after 3 months.
