Description

Now I Can Dream, LLC is a 501c3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote mentor/protege relationships among adult Black males. The goals are to drive down high incarceration, high school and college dropout, unemployment, and HIV-AIDS transmission rates. We are seeking energetic and high character interns who possess the talent and drive to help move this organization forward. Interns will form the governance of the organization with ultimate oversight from the current Executive Director and Board of Directors. Interns will become the de facto Board of directors as well as administrative leaders.

Responsibilities

The interns will be responsible for taking action regarding marketing, community outreach, social media, fundraising, developing procedures and building the brand of the organization. In other words, we will provide the interns with the keys and let them drive the organization in the right direction.

Requirements

Interns should be undergraduate Seniors or in graduate school/doctoral students. Interns should have GPAs no less than 3.0 and most important have excellent communication skills. If you are an idealist, innovator, forward thinker please chose this position. Collaboration skills are also most important as we anticipate a very diverse and talented pool of applicants, so you must have the skill to work within a group setting. All majors are welcome. NOTE: Students are required to completed a self-paced non profit leadership/board member training course (at no cost) prior to taking on responsibilities.
