ResponsibilitiesPosition Description ~ Grant Operations Coordinator
As a Grant Operations Coordinator for the Jamaican Heritage Society, you will work directly with the President and Founder managing the day-to-day grant research and application process for a non-profit organization. This internship is ideal for anyone interested in learning the inner workings of a non-profit and who wants unfettered access to everything a founder experiences when starting a company.
Your primary responsibilities:
Assist in promoting the organization’s initiatives
Research grant, sponsor and partnership opportunities
Reviewing and preparing applications for Federal, State, and Local Grants
Manage e-mail correspondence (as assigned)
Ensure smooth operation of administrative functions related to grants and fundraising
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Extremely detail-oriented and organized
Ability to work independently
This position requires working a minimum of 5 hours per week for a period of 3 months or longer. A minimum of 3-hours per week must be worked between the hours of 8am and 6pm.
This is an unpaid internship.
