DescriptionThe Share for Life Foundation (S4L) is a tax-exempt 501 (c) 3, non-profit organization founded in 2002 based in New York City, that integrates an array of community-based services to meet the needs of families who live below the federal poverty level in public housing.
Our mission is to empower community developments by
sharing positive information and resources through education.
S4L creates educational programs and videos to help people achieve self-sufficiency and become productive members of society. We uniquely design and tailor workshops to fit the needs of each community development we work within, using film, music, and other media outlets as a medium to get positive messages to people and warn them of the consequences of negative behaviors.
S4L partners with community-based organizations, NYC government agencies, schools and faith-based institutions to provide programming and social services. We have worked with the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) since 2004 in providing empowerment programs, food, and destination group tours to community residents throughout NYC.
