DescriptionCasa Libre/Freedom House is looking for interns and volunteers to assist with case management. Casa Libre currently offers a shelter program for unaccompanied immigrant youth under the age of 18 who have been abused, abandoned, or neglected. Casa Libre focuses its services on unaccompanied immigrant minors. The shelter houses 6-8 residents, ages 15-17. The house is a historic mansion located in Pico-Union area of Los Angeles close to MacArthur Park. Spanish speakers are a plus as most the residents are from Central America and Mexico. We are looking for volunteers and interns who will provide case management services for the mostly immigrant residents of the shelter and dedicate at least 4 hours/week for at least 2-3 months.
The Casa Libre/Freedom Home is a project of the Center for Human Rights and Constitutional Law, Inc. For more information visit www.casa-libre.org.
