DescriptionBrighter Within, Inc. is a volunteer-driven, 501(C) 3 nonprofit organization. Brighter Within, Inc. provides community education about young adult dating violence, and Youth Leadership & Mentoring Program for boys and girls ages 8-17. Our purpose is to educate the community on young adult dating violence, and to empower young adults to be their best by assisting those in becoming productive and confident young adults that will allow them to become positive role models and future leaders.
ResponsibilitiesIndividual Giving and Major Gifts:
Managing logistics for events
Managing database projects
Assisting with donor acknowledgement letters
Maintaining and updating our Google Drive filing system and offline filing system
Doing major donor research
Liaising with current and prospective donors
Updating and maintaining the corporate research pipeline on Google Drive
Assisting in preparing briefs on companies and concept notes for the Partnerships team
Researching potential and current corporate and foundation partners
Other duties as assigned
Requirements• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Organized and able to manage multiple ongoing projects
• Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office products
• Enthusiasm for the Conservancy’s mission
• Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills
• Experience with nonprofit development work, grant writing a plus, but not necessary
• Desire to learn about nonprofit fundraising and management
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
