The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters; supplies about 40 percent of the nation's blood; teaches skills that save lives; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military members and their families. The American Red Cross offers exceptional undergraduate and graduate students internship opportunities at our Red Cross national headquarters in Washington, D.C. and in chapters across the country through our Internship Program. Interns are matched with a specific department where they work on advancing critical projects.

The Intern, Employee Engagement is an Unpaid Internship where candidates must be enrolled in a degree program at the time of the internship. The opportunity is based in New York, NY.

Basic Qualifications:
• Undergraduate sophomore or above studying Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related
• Passion for employee engagement, well-being, and resilience
• Solid writing skills, specifically experience writing, formatting, and posting clear and concise online content
• Attention to detail and good follow-through ability
• Ability to work collaboratively to bring ideas to life

Responsibilities:
The Employee Engagement team is looking for an Intern to join us as a part of the Greater New York Region's Hope Starts Here initiative. In this internship, you will help our team cultivate associates' passion for and emotional commitment to their work, each other, our communities, and the company. You'll have the opportunity to learn about many aspects of employee engagement by helping us implement, maintain, and measure new and existing engagement professional development and employee satisfaction projects.


Candidates will be considered for the summer 2016 semester (Late May through August)
• 20 hours/week
