DescriptionWe work to reduce breast cancer in Massachusetts by funding education, screening and treatment programs, and other programs that have an emphasis on helping those facing barriers to care. We are dedicated to protecting the most vulnerable people in our state from the impacts breast cancer. We are committed to 100$ screening, 100$ access to care, and 100% to follow-up.
ResponsibilitiesAn internship with Susan G. Komen Southern New England is an excellent way to enhance your college experience and prepare you for entry into the professional world. We seek college interns to join the office staff, and in doing so you join the area’s leader in the fight against breast cancer.
We offer flexible scheduling in our office, Monday through Friday 9 to 5. We ask that all interns commit to a minimum of 10 hours/week in order to properly and fully execute projects. Some positions may require attendance at additional meetings and special events, and occasional evening and weekend hours. All internships are unpaid, and we offer three sessions during the year:
Winter/Spring: January through May
Summer: May through August
Fall: August through December

• Event Fundraising (Race and special event planning)

• Community health and education
