DescriptionVFTA is a 501c3, non-profit charitable foundation which is devoted to creating respect and empathy for animals through education, rescue, legislation, and advocacy.
Our interns wear many hats and report mainly to the Rescue and Adoption Director and our office manager. There is plenty of opportunity to work in other arenas once you get your foot in the door. In your cover letter, tell us what you want to do! Are you good at social media, marketing, outreach, fundraising, transporting, drawing, painting, juggling etc.?
ResponsibilitiesDuties include but are not limited to:
-Feeding, cleaning, and playing at our facility (yes, playing is a necessary duty!)
-Transporting animals to our facility and to vets, fosters, adopters, etc.
-Organizing our adoption events on Sundays
-Any special skills you may have we can utilize.
RequirementsMust LOVE cats and dogs.
Must be over 18 years old.
Must have reliable transportation (car.)
Must be passionate, easygoing, and self-motivated!
Must be able to prioritize efficiently and effectively.
