DescriptionClean Water Action works on water quality, water access, and environmental justice issues in Michigan. Our current campaign is focused on Nestle's water withdrawals from Michigan. Nestle already withdraws 200,000 gallons of water a day from our state's groundwater. They are now proposing to more than double their pumping (to 400 gallons per minute) at one of their sites. We are working to defeat this proposal. We need to make sure that decisions about Michigan's water, and control over it, stay in the hands of the people here in Michigan.
Clean Water Action is an organization with nearly 300,000 members in Michigan working to empower people to take action to protect America's waters, build healthy communities and to make democracy work for all of us. For 45 years Clean Water Action has succeeded in winning some of the nation's most important environmental protections through grassroots organizing, expert policy research and political advocacy focused on holding elected officials accountable to the public.
ResponsibilitiesAs part of our staff, you would organize communities around environmental issues. Responsibilities and benefits include:

We are hiring for full or part-time positions starting immediately or with the fall semester. We provide full benefits for both full and part time, opportunities for travel to other offices within our network and to national conferences, and the potential for growth within the organization.
