DescriptionUrban Solutions builds better neighborhoods, one business at a time. A San Francisco-based non-profit, we offer free programs and assistance to small business owners and engaged entrepreneurs to help them realize their dream – of being a part of the vibrant San Francisco community. Our work in mid-Market, SOMA and the Fillmore has already brought numerous small businesses to the community and helped spur economic growth. Our services include help in identifying great locations, negotiating favorable leases, loan packaging, one-on-one business consulting (operations, legal, financials, permitting), and educational workshops that help you grow your business.
ResponsibilitiesServe as our ambassador to small businesses in San Francisco commercial corridors and assess their needs. You’ll help direct them towards solutions that will enable them to grow. Our busy Intern will survey and interview business owners to learn about their day-to-day stresses – those items that keep them from thriving. You’ll chat with them about lease issues, loan renegotiations, legal obstacles, as well as their need for help with technologies that can help them grow like Square, Yelp, Facebook, and improved SEO.
This is an opportunity to work in the field and directly make a difference in the life of the city. You’ll work directly with innovators and entrepreneurs and learn what it takes to start and grow a small business. Become a change agent and help us build a vibrant community of small businesses.
