Description

Interested in a career in non-profit management and development, or public relations within the non-profit world? The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is the nation’s largest organization dedicated to ending blood cancers, while leading the way in cancer research and medicine development. Join our California Southland team and our Student Series department to intern with one of the nation’s most successful service-learning and fundraising programs.
Interns will receive one-on-one coaching from staff members and directors in the fields of marketing, non-profit development, and leadership. Interns will learn how to draft effective newsletters, how to communicate professionally with high-impact donors, and develop skills that transfer over to post-college professional lifestyle. Our friendly staff value connectivity, teamwork, and initiative.

Responsibilities

*Assist with sponsorships and new program initiatives
*Create and distribute communication pieces, both digital and hard copy.
*Update online platforms: website and social media.
*Assist with fulfillment and shipping of program materials to schools.
*Support and lead research projects and special projects.
*General support of the Student Series goals and objectives
