By joining LLS as an intern, you will help our Light The Night, Team In Training and Man/Woman of the Year Campaigns.
ResponsibilitiesSupport a corporate recruitment event
Team and individual walker recruitment
Event press releases
Event logistics coordination
Provides administrative, secretarial and clerical support for the Light The Night Walks
Prepares event related correspondence and reports and facilitates a committee to plan logistics for Walk Night
Maintains a working knowledge of LLS and our mission
Attends various community events to recruit walkers, committee members and fundraising
Performs other related duties as assigned
RequirementsExcellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
Problem solving skills
Proficiency in business English, spelling, punctuation and grammar
Self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented and highly organized
Will have knowledge of standard business applications and computers
Candidates with event planning or fundraising experience will be preferred, but not necessarily required
