DescriptionSelah Downtown Association (SDA) is looking for a current college student or recent graduate located in Selah, Washington, or the greater Yakima Valley area, with an interest in local history! The intern will work on projects involving historical research and writing, as well as community outreach and social media. This is an unpaid, volunteer internship opportunity, and the intern may work remotely within the greater Yakima region.
Selah Downtown Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and a member of the Washington State Main Street Program. Like other recognized Main Street communities, SDA promotes economic development and revitalization in Selah's downtown business district. Specifically, SDA's mission is to develop and promote downtown Selah as the community's social, cultural and economic center.
Requirements--Knowledge of, or interest in learning more about the history of Selah, WA, the greater Yakima Valley, and the larger Eastern Washington region.
--Experience conducting historical research.
--Superb research and writing skills.
--Strong computer skills.
