DescriptionThe Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is a non profit in Richmond with the main focus of creating bridges between the hispanic community and the greater Richmond community. The VAHCC has many components , such as the Chamber side which is a membership based educational and workshop shop oriented piece to promote economic development. The other side of the VAHCC is the Foundation which has a program called Passport to Education where they provide mentorship for hispanic youth and gain scholarship money to award.
ResponsibilitiesDepending on what event the VAHCC is working on will determine the day to day experience. Intern will have many opportunities to learn from all areas of the Chamber. Future interns will be performing administrative duties while getting direction from their supervisor for more intricate projects specific to their area of interest.
RequirementsUnderstanding of a non profit.
18 or over is preferred.
