DescriptionThe Eye Institute, since opening its doors in 1978, has been a valuable vision care resource for Philadelphia and all of the Delaware Valley. As the clinical practice of The Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) at Salus University, TEI employs a multidisciplinary approach – with optometrists, ophthalmologists, opticians, optometric technicians, optometric interns (trainees) and other health care professionals working together to provide total vision care for nearly 50,000 patients annually.
The Eye Institute of Salus University’s “Looking Out for Kids” charity fundraiser and initiative first began in 2007. The annual event raises funds to provide vision care and eyeglasses to uninsured and under-insured children in the communities The Eye Institute serves. Through the funds raised, The Eye Institute of Salus University is making a difference in the lives of children whose families cannot afford eye care services and eyeglasses. The marketing intern would assist in the day-to-day activities associated with this event and initiative as well as other marketing/event duties as needed. This internship would provide the intern with valuable experience in providing the marketing and administrative team with support.
