DescriptionCitySquare is a non-profit that fights the causes and effects of poverty through service, advocacy, and friendship.
Position: The Videography Intern works directly with the Director of Development and Graphic Designer to assist with marketing, social media, and public relations projects by creating videos of the work of CitySquare.
Summary: We are looking for an intern who will jump into the fast paced CitySquare culture to create videos about our work and our neighbors. The ideal intern is a self-starter who can grab a vision and run with it. She/He will create a collection of videos throughout the summer that will range from 30 seconds to 3 minutes capturing the essence of the fight against poverty and what can be done to help those in need.
Responsibilities- Assist in all aspects of video and photographic communications and contribute to planning and storyboarding
- Assist in the end-to-end process from storyboarding to logistics to shooting to editing and publishing
- Film video and shoot photographs in studio and field environments
- Record desktop computer screens and actions for demo and training videos
- Use existing original and stock footage to produce new videos
- Contribute to mixing and editing to create polished and engaging videos
- Assist with video projects for the website, social media, and CitySquare YouTube channel
-Able to work independently and take direction
-Proficient in documentary/PSA video project planning, interviewing subjects, camera work (camera provided), advanced video editing (AVID preferred and provided but not limited if the intern has his/her own laptop with Adobe Premiere) including outputting for multiple platforms and uploading to the Internet, and audio editing.
-Interest in documenting this population and our work at CitySquare a must
-Excellent time management skills
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
