Description

The Executive Director of Selah Downtown Association (SDA) is looking for a current college student, or recent graduate, interested in interning for a non-profit organization located in Selah, Washington. This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in learning more about the non-profit world, especially those interested in community building and economic development! The intern will assist the Executive Director with all tasks related to non-profit management. This is an unpaid, volunteer internship.

Selah Downtown Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and a member of the Washington State Main Street Program. Like other recognized Main Street communities, SDA promotes economic development and revitalization in Selah's downtown business district. Specifically, SDA's mission is to develop and promote downtown Selah as the community's social, cultural and economic center.

Requirements

--Interest in non-profit management and/or business, community engagement, main street revitalization, and economic development
--Previous experience working or volunteering with non-profit organizations, and/or a demonstrated interest in community organizations
--Excellent communication skills
--Strong leadership skills
--Committed, responsible and outgoing
--Willingness to learn and develop new projects
