Description

The Ronald McDonald House of Central and Northern New Jersey provide a "home away from home" for thousands of families with seriously ill children while they receive care at nearby medical facilities. Our Houses and Family Rooms offer comforting surroundings where family members can stay together during a time of
uncertainty and stress.

Responsibilities

Assist with event/appeal mailings, record keeping, data entry, answering phones and other tasks on a weekly basis.
Serve as a relief manager during non-business hours (5pm to 9pm); managerial task include answering phones, registering families, providing tours and supervising other volunteers.
Coordinating and managing special projects.

Requirements

We are looking for interns who are motivated, flexible, committed, and have an interest in non-profit industry. A positive, enthusiastic attitude is a must.
Knowledge of administration procedures, such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology.
Experience using databases.
Ability to learn new computer software programs.
Excellent written, oral and communication skills.

Preferred - Bilingual-English/Spanish
