Description

The David Project is an exciting startup nonprofit in NYC. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those who cannot walk by offering an encouraging and non-judgemental environment that will cultivate personal and interpersonal growth. As an intern at a new nonprofit, you will have the chance to work directly for the founders and other leaders of the organization. You will witness and assist in decision making for the organization and have the chance to attend board meetings. Fundraising is very important and you will get exposure to the business of fundraising, we have a few high-dollar fundraisers planned in the coming months! Working for a new nonprofit, one that is rapidly developing, will provide more opportunities for leadership and meaningful work than any other large nonprofit or company.

The vast majority of the work will be done remotely and your leaders will provide thorough directions and will always be accessible to you.

This is an unpaid internship and the duration is negotiable.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

Updating the organization's website and social media
Compiling databases with sensitive donor and member information
Performing informal research for the organization's leadership
Working with other interns and volunteers on fundraiser planning
Being a leader who is fearless in providing input.

Requirements

Must be a Senior in High School or Enrolled in College
Must be a good writer, and able to use Google Docs
Must be a good team player and punctual on deadlines.
