DescriptionCreated in 2016, the Hobby Quest Foundation offers free afterschool, and summer and school vacation camps for young people attending Title 1 Schools in New Jersey or participating in youth development programs aimed at economically disadvantaged children. Hobby Quest Foundation believes that all children should have access to high-quality enrichment programming regardless of ability to pay.
We are in need of a social media thinker/ninja to keep our presence lively and current. We need to understand the power of social media platforms as well as the drawbacks - critical thinking is key. We want to assure that when potential funders go looking for us in cyberspace, our message is clear, purposeful, current and executed with excellence. We need to create a coherent strategy and then execute it. This will be your show. Work from our offices in Englewood or remotely, reporting to the Director (me - Nancy Randall). I work remotely most of the time so I need someone with a high degree of self-direction, and someone who knows when they don't know! You and I will work together on strategy. Execution is up to you.
No money right now unfortunately, but this is a great university independent study or capstone project and we will happily work with your school to get you as many credits as possible.
ResponsibilitiesWith input from the Executive Director (me) create a strategic plan for the Foundation's presence on social media. I know FB and Twitter but that's about it so I will rely on your knowledge. How should we present ourselves? Where? To what end? Presence is important for fundraising as funders will go looking for us on social media and what they see has to be beautifully executed, to the point and efficient. Execution is on you! We also raise funds by researching grant opportunities from foundations and corporations. You will do some of this, too. Presence as the ' face and voice' of the Foundation at trade shows and community events.
