DescriptionThe Blue Bench is a local non-profit and only comprehensive sexual assault prevention and care center for all nine counties making up the Denver Metro Area. We are the only organization of our kind in the country that runs a full-time, professional community-organizing department.
As an organization, we provide:
*Bi-lingual counseling services at little to no-cost for survivors of sexual assault
*Prevention Education Programs, in local schools and community centers
*Denver’s first support group for male survivors
*24/7 Crisis Hotline
We are at the forefront of grassroots efforts to protect Denver Metro communities and break the cycle of violence.
Our staff consists of committed, professional, and highly skilled activists. We provide all of the necessary training, and we are hiring applicants that have a passion for social change and a commitment to ending sexual violence in our communities.
This is a great opportunity for students to demonstrate effective communication skills to a diverse audience while gaining experience in educating the public on the issue of sexual violence and available survivor services. We engage support through recruiting volunteers and fundraising.
