DescriptionThe North Texas Pet Food Pantry is a growing Non-Profit Organization in the DFW area. We provide assistance to families in need with pets. We work closely with our local Animal Shelters, Animal Rescuers and Animal Welfare Organizations with the goal of responsible pet ownership. We have partnerships with local businesses who support and donate to our organization. We have partnerships with our local food pantries, church ministries and other community outreach programs.
We are growing faster than Board of Directors can keep up. We are looking for project leaders who can assist the Board of Directors in keeping communications with our existing partnerships, including regular operations, special projects, coordinate existing volunteers, recruiting and coordinating new volunteers, creating, planning and executing new fundraisers events. engaging local businesses and the community to embrace responsible pet ownership.
We serve the Dallas, North Dallas, South Dallas, West Dallas, Oak Cliff, Lewisville, Grapevine and Rockwall areas. Work can be done remotely from anywhere in the Dallas area, through e-mail, text and phone, as well as making public appearances at fundraisers, our business partners' locations and Board of Director meetings (flexible hours and flexible locations around the metroplex).
ResponsibilitiesAssistance to the President and Vice President in responding to regular correspondence. Regular communication with existing business partnerships. Communications also include face to face with our area businesses and partners. Attending other fundraisers (social activities) for other animal welfare organizations (including happy hour and other social events), making contacts for potential partnerships in the Dallas area.
Regular communication and meetings with President and Vice President, including occasional Board of Director meetings (times and locations flexible).
The address listed is the admin office, however, all work can be done remotely. Not required to work from the office address.
RequirementsExcellent communication skills, both written and oral. Proven leadership skills as a project leader (clubs, groups or other organizational committee leadership). Must be attending classes and/or residing in the Dallas area. Although work can be done remotely (e-mail, phone/text), it will be required to have face to face with our local businesses, partnerships and attending fundraisers in the Dallas area.
