Rang De is an Indian non-profit organisation that focuses on providing financial assistance through affordable microcredit to underserved communities and links them through a crowdfunding model with individuals who seek to make a difference.
Can you write 300 words a day? Do you seek to join the fight against poverty? Would you like to help the people that need it most and bring their concerns on a larger stage?
You will join 'Rang De Writers', a team of over our team of 50+ Content Writers who operate from all over India to make a difference through the power of words (engineers, homemakers, software professionals etc from places as diverse as Srinagar to Bhubaneshwar)!
Note: This is a 12-week work-from-home internship programme and only 50% of the students pass the initial four-week probationary period after being selected.
ResponsibilitiesOnline Content Writing Interns will carry out 100-word profile write-ups over 12 weeks seeking to highlight the issues facing individuals from low-income and impoverished backgrounds in rural and urban India and inspire others to contribute to their betterment through a 'social investment'.
Your work will be the first step in a sea-change of attitudes and will support over 25 great rural organisations that are helping individuals find a way to climb out of endemic poverty.

RequirementsThe ability to write is only the basic requirement but what is essential is a strong empathetic core and a firm desire to eliminate poverty. Interest in South Asian affairs or a relevant background would be especially welcome.
We have had Singaporean and Pakistani writers join us on our team so nationality is not a determinant in the selection process.
