DescriptionEmpower 54 is an international humanitarian organization empowering underprivileged Africans, IDPs and refugees through education, health, and self-sufficiency programs.
Since 2003, we have transformed lives of thousands of underprivileged Africans through our various programs.
We conduct free medical missions; distribute medical supplies and equipment to under-equip hospitals, and conduct medical seminars to encourage exchange of knowledge between visiting medical personnel and indigenous medical team. We also collate population statistics via BoMetrics and BioDatat to enable us come up with health, education and empowerment solutions to neglected regions in Africa.
We travel to remote villages and communities to donate non-perishable foods to underprivileged people to reduce the high mortality rate in those communities.
In addition, to eradicate hunger, we encourage self-sufficiency in agriculture by distributing bags of fertilizers, seedlings, and traditional farming tools to rural farmers to support their food production.
EDUCATION, WOMEN/GIRL EMPOWERMENT & IDP/REFUGEE PROGRAMS
Empower 54’s education programs include giving scholarships to children from underprivileged homes, rebuilding of schools, and donation of school materials to children. We rebuild schools in underprivileged communities and provide a combination of conventional education and vocational training for children and women.
On June 13th and 15th 2016, we identified and evacuated some extremely malnourished children survivors of terrorism in North East Nigeria for treatment (video of evacuation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lulo5hkb0Fg). It's estimated over 250, 000 extremely malnourished children in Borno State, Nigeria will die in 2016.
We are establishing some strategically located nutrition centers in the region to save their lives. In order to sustain them, we need to create a powerful campaign that will engage people to continuously donate and support this cause.
Positions available are refocused on creating and managing strategic fundraising campaign to raise funds to buy RUTF medication/food for the children.
