DescriptionWe are an early stage start-up looking for a part-time college intern to help us grow our online presence. We desire someone with strong knowledge and understanding of the digital media landscape, including various social media websites.
This is a part time position, approximately 10-15 hours a week. This position is unpaid but is an opportunity for you to integrate your ability to handle multiple projects, show your ability to work independent of a boss hovering over your shoulder and prove that you know how to grow a brand. This is a great chance to bolster your resume.
You will be a vital part in helping grow the brand of the company, so expect to be involved in the company planning strategy, as we are open to ideas that will strengthen the purpose of the company. Members of the Board of Directors will support your career growth by providing references and writing recommendations. Internships are unpaid, but you may receive college credit if approved by your college or university.
What We Expect:
We are looking for an individual who have a great personality, attitude and is teachable. Being hardworking, consistent and trustworthy are keys to being successful in this position with us. Though you won’t have a boss lurking over your shoulder, know how to work with a team when necessary.
ResponsibilitiesContent Creation + Campaign Planning: Developing a weekly plan for social media by coming up with ideas for posts, contests, promotions and story sharing. Work closely with our company Founder to determine how social fits into the larger marketing plan.
Brand Voice + Communication: Posting to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and our blog to drive engagement with our customers.
Analytics: Reviewing stats and social metrics to see what is working and what isn't.
Research: Staying on top of trends for best in class marketing in the eCommerce space.
Requirements-Be Junior level or higher at a College or University in the DFW Metroplex.
-Be working towards a BA/BS in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field.
-Have at least 1 year experience with managing social media campaigns.(College courses will be considered as experience.)
-Have previous project management experience.
-Be high organized.
-Have Hootsuite Experience
