As a start-up not-for-profit, GLMPI was founded by social-entrepreneur and girls advocate, La'Keisha Gray-Sewell. With successful projects in Chicago-area schools and as the pioneer organization to host Chicago Day of the Girl for International Day of the Girl on October 11, 2012, GLMPI is positioning itself for magnanimous growth. To help get us there we are seeking a reciprocal relationship with an extraordinary student. This professional exchange will include resource and knowledge sharing, professional development, practical experience and college credit, as well as access to our high-profile network. Our intern will have some level of professional experience in the communications field and be an assertive go getter who adds to team GLMPI an affirmative outlook, fresh perspective, attention to detail, collaborative spirit, and ability to quickly embrace new ideas.
