As a Video Production Intern at MassChallenge, you are in charge of video footage for numerous events ranging from high-profile conferences to informational panels to interviews. This is a great opportunity to create or grow a portfolio of work for yourself. You will work closely with different members from areas all across MassChallenge and even the finalists in the space.

Working closely with our Videographer, you will shoot and edit MassChallenge events including keynote speakers and panels in the event space, off-site announcements and celebrations, and more. You will film multi-camera interviews, gaining experience with basic sound and lighting techniques.

You will also be responsible for producing digital video content ranging from advertisements and promotions to calls-to-action. You will collaborate with the MassChallenge Marketing Team to develop the concept and design of this content. You will then work with our Videographer to execute the entire production.


Major responsibilities include:

Capture video footage from key MassChallenge events and programs. Content is of the utmost importance, so you will learn to manage the set-up of different cameras before events.

Edit video footage captured from events and interviews. You will compile the videos into presentable and marketable pieces to be showcased on our website and through different marketing platforms.

Produce digital video content such as advertisements, promotions, calls-to-action, and more. You will collaborate with our Marketing Team to develop and produce content.



At least 20 hours of work per week.
Experience shooting with DSLR cameras (Canon preferred) in a wide variety of settings.
Experience editing in Premiere Pro
Comfort with deadlines and a bias towards action
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Desired Skills & Background:

Experience in capturing video footage
Experience working with different video and photography equipment
Proficiency in video editing software (FinalCut or Premiere)
Strong customer service skills
Animation experience
Skills in Drupal development or HTML are desirable
Strong Microsoft Office skills and background – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs Audition, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
