DescriptionBmore Than Dance is an up and coming non-profit organization that utilizes Baltimore “Shake It Off” Dance as an outlet for creative energy in urban youth. We have almost 500 dancers who are interested in teaching their skill in the form of after school programs, workshops, and lessons. We believe this encourages kids to live a healthier lifestyle by teaching them to collaborate, keep active and non-violent, and also providing them an opportunity to learn something they will be good at that differs from what they learn sitting at a desk. As a result, they will be able to put on shows and performances as part of the “King of Baltimore” series.
As part of our team, you will be working to research, introduce, promote, and drive awareness of Bmore than Dance to communities across the DMV area. As a growing non-profit organization, we value creative thinking, initiative, self- motivation, and a collaborative attitude. This is an opportunity to grow both personally and professionally, but it also goes beyond that. This will be better experience than any coffee- runner internship. We are not looking for “interns,” we are looking for members to join our team and have creative input on running this campaign. You will be collaborating with the team and doing the work that you want to do, first- hand.
We are in the process of shooting a documentary about the organization and have several available positions for those interested in video production. We need individuals who are willing to help out in any way. This means being a camera operator, setting up with lighting, sound design, post production editing, etc. In addition you can help us to write, edit and produce original content that will go viral. You can check out the documentary so far at http://www.bmorethandance.com/
If you have interest in joining us, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and tell us where you think you might fit in and what your professional interests are. We would love to have you join our team.
