We're a well-known New York based non-profit that teaches healthy cooking to cancer patients and survivors. Our website contains recipes, articles and other information to help those affected by cancer. We are seeking interns to write articles for our blog, and to help develop recipes and meal plan geared to cancer patients. We need help updating the website and writing 2-3 articles a week. We also need help optimizing pages for SEO and posting on social media. We are a very relaxed office, but we work hard. If you're looking to get experience with digital marketing, writing, and office work this is a great internship for you. You must be passionate about food and health -- food is basically all we talk about here. We offer a monthly unlimited metro card for the time you are here, and the office always has coffee and tea.

Responsibilities

Tasks will include but will not be limited to uploading recipes and articles to Wordpress, writing articles for our blog, copy editing, helping us put together meal plans and add nutritional info to our recipes. Also optimizing web pages for search, and helping us with web marketing initiatives. Must also be willing to do small operational tasks around the office.

Requirements

Must have an interest in health and food, be detail-oriented, a good writer, highly organized, and a people person. Experience with Mac OS, Microsoft Office Suite, Google apps, Wordpress and Shutterstock preferred. Must be a self starter and willing to do many different tasks. Must know all social networks in and out. Must be willing to do simple tasks such as running the occasional errand.
