Description

ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION

Covenant House is the largest privately funded nonprofit agency in North and Central America providing shelter and other services to homeless, runaway and exploited youth.

REPORTS TO: Director of Child and Youth Protection Department

Responsibilities

The Child and Youth Protection intern is responsible for organizing and managing the department's calendars, files, to-do list and other organizational tasks that drive the department goals forward. Duties include call coordination with sites, document revisions, data entry and other duties as assigned. The Child and Youth Protection intern will lead the implementation of a yearly Youth Safety Survey across Covenant House sites.

Requirements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Organizational Skills
Communication Skills
Data Collection and Entry
Document Formatting (Word and Excel)
Preference for current students or recent graduates in Social Work and/or Human Services.
