City Vision Internships is a Christian one-year, multi-year or summer internship program based on the AmeriCorps model. Interns serve at one of over 40 positions across the USA and Canada. In the past 10 years, we have placed over 500 full-time interns and 68,000+ volunteers in hundreds of Christian ministries.

For Interns without a Bachelors Degree: One Year (or summer) Work Study Internship

Provides a work study internship with free tuition in City Vision College for a full year paid by
hosting ministry.
Online courses providing accredited degrees in Nonprofit Management, Addiction Studies,
and Urban Missions.
Housing is provided by hosting ministry (or a cash equivalent living

For Interns with a Bachelors Degree: One Year Paid Internship or Multi-Year Graduate Fellowship

One Year Paid Internship

Housing is provided by hosting ministry (or a cash equivalent living stipend).
Interns paid a living stipend from $200-$600/month (depending on site).
Free tuition in City Vision College
for a full year paid by hosting ministry. (Optional)
Expectation is typically 40 hours of volunteer work per week.

Multi-Year Graduate Fellowship

Free tuition in Bakke Graduate University programs including MBA, Masters in Global Leadership or
Social Entrenpreneurship or Doctorate in Ministry or Transformational Leadership
Some sites may provide an
additional stipend or housing support for outstanding candidates.
Candidates may receive up to 6 hours
of independent study credit based on practicum work at ministry site.
Supervised nonprofit or ministry experience interning 29 hours per week.


Youth Ministry Interns will assist the Youth Director with the Youth Program. In Addition, Youth Ministry Interns will assist the Food Director and Kitchen Staff with serving food for our food programs.

Essential Functions
1) Prepare and teach Bible lessons to Children.
2) Plan activities, games and crafts to do with Children
3) Attend weekly meetings with the President and Executive Director
4) Attend weekday Prayer Meetings
5) Assisting serving food for the after-school program
6) Prepare/Serve Meals as necessary
7) Stock/Rotate food storage items

Supervisory Responsibility
There are no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment
This job operates in a school building.

Physical demands
The employee must be able to stand up without assistance. The employee must be able to lift up between five and ten pounds.

Position/Expected Hours of Work
Interns will work 29 hours per week.

There will be some travel requirements to go to the food service locations and back to the Inside Out Building

Required Education and Experience
1) Pursing a college degree in any field
2) Must have completed their freshman year by the start of the internship
3) Must have a GPA of at least 2.0
4) Must be a born-again believer
5) Must know bible well enough to teach it
6) Must demonstrate character that is consistent with the bible

Preferred Education and Experience
1) Pursing a college degree in Education, Bible Education, Youth Ministries, or a related field
2) Experience working with Inner-City Youth
3) Know how to make lesson plans for bible lessons
4) Know how to make and prepare sermons for a congregation

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
1) Must be able to successfully pass criminal background check

Work Authorization
1) Must be authorized to legally work in the United States through E-Verify

Any other duties as assigned by Inside Out Leadership. Inside Out reserves the right to change duties and responsibilities of Interns at any time with or without prior notice.


-At least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
-Must be a Christian
-U.S. or Canadian citizen, U.S. or Canadian national or lawful permanent resident alien, or have a valid
student or work visa
-Able to make at least a summer (May 20-August 9) commitment (may be extended by mutual agreement)
-Able to financially live on just free housing and any outside income sources you have.
-Able to relocate to a location of a ministry site (unless a site exists at your current location)
