DescriptionI'm a wedding an event photographer and I'm looking to hire and possibly train a college student looking for real world experience in my studio. This is NOT a photoshop position (while it is used) nor is it a photography position.
Ideal candidate must be able to commit for at least 9 months, with the initial workload starting from just 1 or 2 days a week, Ideally I would use 2 interns or assistants, each of them working a day.
This is intern level work and the need for following directions is paramount in producing a consistent level of work.
Intern/assistant wanted for a paid position, payment is dependent upon the amount of time required for training and limitations or restrictions made by any school if this is to be a job for credit.
This is NOT a job requiring any actual photographs being taken by assistant or intern.
Looking for: experience in Lightroom, Photoshop, illustrator Experience in camera raw, phase one, or adobe inDesign a plus.
You will assist photographer with post production workload in Baltimore home studio 1-2 days a week, between 11-6, hours may fluctuate.
Room for advancement if assistant can operate studio lighting knows how to photograph weddings, able to handle social media administration.
Room for increased workload with additional photographers for rebranding.
References appreciated, skill assessment will be required
Skill set required in Photoshop includes; masking, adjustment levels, clipping masks, using and creating actions
Skill set in Lightroom requires: ability to adjust horizon, crop, color temperature, exposure compensation, apply changes to multiple images using sync command, key wording , and creation and maintaining catalogs
Skill set in illustrator, working with text, paths and curves.
This is a PC based studio This studio has a dog and cats
This may start as an unpaid position, however will turn into a paid position so a W-9 will be required including all documentation will be required for legal work position.
ResponsibilitiesCandidate will be able to commit to minimum of 9 month period of training/work
Days will initially consist of opening Lightroom Catalog of event, and applying principal post production to images-Principal post production is -Horizon straighten-Color correction-exposure compensation
As experience increases, Candidate will be able to apply signature post production and edits using advanced tools in both Lightroom and Photoshop.
Candidate will also use hand written template for making PSD documents in Photoshop.
RequirementsKnowledge of Adobe Lightroom - how to straighten horizons, color correct, compensate exposure and use plug-ins, must know how to use sync command and operate Lightroom Catalogues
Knowledge of Photoshop- How to use Actions, Plugins, Clipping masks, masking and cloning.
Knowledge of Illustrator- Clipping masks, text/typography
